Our team has worked with Riverfront revival since 2022 and has been able to diver 14,336 lbs of material during our partnership. Riverfront Revival is a two-night country music event at Riverfront Park in Charleston, South Carolina.

Our team has a full service contract with this event; we collect waste before, during, and after the event, sort materials, and do litter sweeping throughout and after the event.

This event spurred a partnership with Riverfront Park and lead to our team working four events at that venue each year.

Before the event

Our team arrives on site days before the event to make sure all set up crews, as well as catering, have access to event-specific recycling and trash bins. Because of our early arrival we are able to compost leftover food from catering and all drink bottles produced during set up.

During the Event

Our full team arrives on site the day before the event to set out patron-facing recycling and trash bins. Our stations include appropriate signage, restricted lids so attendees think through where they are putting waste, and tall flags so stations can be seen from a distance.

During the event our team makes certain no bins overflow and that litter is cleared at the end of the night. The venue’s location next to a large waterway means litter management is at the forefront of our team’s mind.

Back at our Zero Waste Headquarters a second team sorts recycling bags to make sure they are clean and have the best chance possible of being truly recycled at local facilities. This team also break down cardboard and weigh materials to get a clear view of the amount of material we divert from the landfill.

After the Event

After the event our team stays on site so the strike team has access to recycling and trash bins. Our team uses this time to sort the remaining recycling and litter sweep the full festival grounds for any remaining litter.
